Green Rider: First Rider’s Call
All but two of the photos have been shot! The last two are portraits, so they should be relatively quick to get (she said, famously).
So, from now until mid-November, I’ll be locked in my studio (panic) editing the remaining images. And then it will finally be time to put together the art book and do all the fun things, like decide which images will be up for options as ornaments.
Speaking of ornaments, don’t forget! If you couldn’t decide which add-ons you wanted during the fundraising campaign, remember that lots of them are still available (and will be through the end of the year…Christmas gifts, anyone?)
Maddie Mondays and Passages
In typical Maddie fashion, editing the First Rider’s Call photos is taking longer than I anticipated. Between the massive stacks of photos I need to get through and some family trips, I have had to pause both my Maddie Mondays (my half-planted fall flower beds still haven’t gotten over it) and Passages (which, honestly, is fine…because my main model is off at college anyway…and I kind of want to revisit the costume designs (cue the exaggerated gasps from my Twitch community, who know me only too well at this point – ha!).
One thing that I did truly enjoy this past month is my trip to Alabama. Hoki and I tagged along on our parents’ vacation, and I got a much-needed chilled out vacation. I took some photos just for fun…and even though I probably won’t get around to editing them until, like, next spring, it was so nice to take a creative break for a couple of days.
Monthly Events!
One of my goals this quarter is to start doing events/special streams at least once a month. Since we’re starting this quarter off in October, I thought the best (and, really, *only*) option for our first event stream is a Halloween party! During my [date] stream, we will party like it’s, uh, Halloween?
I’ll have giveaways, games, and contests. If you want to learn more details as they are released, come join my Discord!
Looking for ways to support me and my art?
I love hanging out with my community during my streams, and I am so excited every time someone new comes in. If you want to join us, follow me on Twitch or join my Discord to be notified when I go live!
I also have people ask how they can support me, especially during times like these when I don’t have a ton of inventory in my store or prints for sale. One thing that is always an option (and free!) is to engage with me – and my content – online. I post every weekday on Facebook and Instagram, and I stream at least three days a week.
If you’re looking for something a little more tangible, I would love to have you as a subscriber on Twitch or become a patron of mine – my Patreon tiers start as low as $1/month!
